ASSOCIATION OF COLLEGIATE SCHOOLS OF ARCHITECTURE
Team Three has a long-standing partnership with the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA), supporting key programs including the art direction and design of its two flagship journals, the Journal of Architectural Education (JAE) and Technology | Architecture + Design (TAD).
JAE explores evolving issues in architectural education—such as inclusive pedagogy, curriculum innovation, and social and environmental responsibility—while TAD focuses on how technology, materials, and emerging systems shape architectural research, practice, and sustainability.
Most recently, Team Three redesigned the look and feel of JAE, which has been published continuously since 1947.
PUBLICATION DESIGN /ART DIRECTION
We redesigned the Journal of Architectural Education to reflect its role as the leading platform for scholarship in architectural education. Balancing clarity with rigor, the new design honors the journal’s legacy while supporting contemporary discourse around inclusivity, justice, and sustainability.
Working with the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture, we created a flexible visual system that strengthens readability, elevates research, and supports the journal’s peer-reviewed mission.
